JOGOS EDUCATIVOS NA PREVENÇÃO DA OBESIDADE EM CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DA LITERATURA

Resumo

O uso de jogos educativos é apresentado como alternativa para auxiliar na prevenção da obesidade em crianças e adolescentes. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura para analisar as características utilizadas nas intervenções com o uso de jogos educacionais para prevenir a obesidade em crianças e adolescentes, bem como avaliar sua qualidade e eficácia. A revisão foi feita seguindo o guia Preferred Reporting Intems for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) e seu protocolo de revisão está disponível no PROSPERO sob o registro CRD42019121448. A busca pelos estudos foi realizada nas bases de dados SCOPUS, PUBMED, IEEEXplore, LILACS e CENTRAL. Ao final foram selecionados doze artigos nos quais foram encontrados grande heterogeneidade na intervenção e avaliação dos jogos empregados. Apenas dois estudos foram considerados de qualidade forte. A maioria dos estudos ocorreram na escola, com duração da intervenção entre 1 dia até 18 meses. Os principais benefícios encontrados nas intervenções foram aumento no conhecimento nutricional e mudanças positivas na alimentação, aumentando o consumo de alimentos saudáveis ou diminuindo a ingestão dos mais processados. Para melhor verificar o efeito desses tipos de jogos são necessários mais estudos que utilizem instrumentos validados e confiáveis, que abordem uma amostra significativa, aloque os participantes de forma randomizada, e avaliem o efeito da intervenção a longo prazo.
