Abstract

With increase of apps aimed to health promotion actions to pregnant women, it’s necessary evaluate quality they present. The present study aimed to evaluate mobile apps quality aimed to health promotion actions during pregnancy. This systematic review use Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) to assess mobile apps quality (engagement, functionality, aesthetics and information quality); with score up to five points. Google Play Store (Google Inc) and Apple Store (Apple Inc) were used to identify apps between years 2011-2021, Portuguese language and central theme, pregnant women; with evaluation of two researchers from different knowledge areas. Nine mobile apps were selected, obtaining value above 3.0 points for quality (55.5% below and 44.5% above four points). Among apps, functionality and aesthetics obtained 4.2 points average, information quality and engagement with 4.0 points average. Mobile apps quality should be an attention point for content and engagement part, as the contents didn’t present references or demonstrate effectiveness study.
